Table of Contents Not Working

Zack Park May 25, 2021

I created the table of contents and have headers, but the toc is not picking it up. The toc doesn't show up on the published page. I don't know what to do.

Interesting problem, could you try a bit of a test for us?

Create a new page, doing these little things:

  • Enter a title like "test toc page"
  • Type: some text as the first line
  • Type: /h1. heading 1
  • Type: /h3. heading 3
  • Type: /toc
  • Type: some more text to end the page test

Save the page and tell us what you see on the displayed page

(Note that the typing does not have to be exact, the / bits are me using shortcuts to the formatting and macros, but feel free to use the editor to do it - I just want to see what comes out of a page that we know has valid headings on it.  Also, the actual content could be anything - "heading 3" for example, could be "penguin" for all t matters, we just want to see how the basics turn out)

In addition, nothing shows up in preview. I don't know how to get this to work in preview or after it's been published.
