Status icon colour dependent on Jira ticket numbers

Hi.

I would like the status icon, similar to the status macro, to change it's colour depending on the amount of jira tickets from a query.

So if there is an open ticket found by the query it goes red or if there are no tickets it would be green.

Is there a way this can be done automatically rather then doing it manually, which seems a bit crazy to me?

@mich wondering if you got an answer here. I would like to do a similar thing - there is so much we can do to automate workflows but the visuals are so important. I haven't been able to solve this one yet. Thanks.
