Hey guys,

 

With Confluence can you restrict sharing with customers on Jira Service Desk? 

We have 2 types of customers. Internal staff and external staff. Is it possible for internal staff to access and use documentation but restrict it so that external customers can't view or search Confluence articles within JSD?

Hi Harry 

There is a way to achieve this but I'd like to understand a few things first:

1. Does your external staff login to the portal to view the articles?

2. Are you ok with separating the content into two different spaces?

Thanks for reaching out to Community!

When customers are added to a project and the project is linked to a Confluence space, they will be able to see all the articles from the space, unless the articles in Confluence are restricted.

If you restrict pages in Confluence, only licensed users will be able to view it, so if the internal staff is not licensed for Confluence, they won't see. 

The best option, in this case, would be a specific project for external and a project for internal staff, so you could also have separated spaces in Confluence for each team.
