I have the same question as a couple years ago. Why do anonymous users who only have viewing rights, see a +create button? If they click the button, they receive a pop-up which says they are not allowed to create something.
We also want to use the feature:
Have a documentation page with anonymous READ-ONLY access.
The users then should not see a "create" Button. If they click on it it tells that there are no rights to creat something
--> From a usability perspective this is poor! Why should a user see a button which is useless?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Go through all the spaces and look at the permissions, making sure you have not got "anonymous" access allowed.
The button only appears for people who have create/edit rights in at least one space.
