Hello @Greg Post !

I have experienced this behavior when using the embedded H2 database. This usually means that the database is corrupted.

Running Confluence on the H2 database is not recommended for production instances. You can check the supported databases here:

Restoring the H2 database can be quite tricky or even not possible at times. The easiest and most reliable way of restoring your site would be restoring a backup:

You should be able to restore a backup in a new instance or the same after you erase the current database data. The embedded database files are stored in your Confluence home directory <confluence-home>/database.

It is a good idea to backup the database file before removing it. More details on the H2 database:

If you have a backup of your site prior to this behavior, you can backup and then remove the contents of your <confluence_home> folder. Doing this, will prompt Confluence to start a new setup and will allow you to restore the backup of your site.

Just keep in mind that Confluence can not be running while you delete the files from the home folder.

Let us hear from you!
