Pivot Table - Customize column tables in the report

Hi,

I am using the pivot table macro to create a report like table. In my table, I aggregate the values with count and the column title for that in the pivot table says "Count".  Another column the pivot table is grouped by page name, action item, target date, the column header is this long text that says "Page, action item, target date".

Is there a way to customize the column labels that are displayed in a pivot table?

Thank you

Hi @Roberta Bortolotti ,

If you have questions regarding our Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence app, please contact our support portal.

The portal is confidential and all the tickets there are registered. Here we try to find relevant questions manually.

Meanwhile, the workaround for your case was mentioned in our documentation: https://docs.stiltsoft.com/tfac/cloud/managing-pivot-table-options-42239653.html#Managingpivottableoptions-Shortentitle

You may wrap your Pivot Table macro in the Table Transformer macro and rename the required columns.

As you've used both Cloud and Server tags for your question, please note that on Server you can nest macros directly but on Cloud - via the Table Toolbox macro due to the new Cloud editor limitation.

Thank you, @Stiltsoft support

The shorten title does not work for me as the text is still not good.

The Table Transformer flattens everything, which is not ideal.

I am on Server, but this community automatically adds Cloud to questions, even after I remove the tag.

I guess I will play more at my end.

Thank you again.

We also have examples of grouping the data back using the Table Transformer macro and JavaScript, for example, this one: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Merge-Group-amp-keep-Format-through-Table-transformer/qaq-p/2754938

So, please refer to our support with the screenshot of your initial table and description of what you want to get as an output (how the data should be grouped and how the columns should be named). We'll try to help with an optimized solution (maybe everything can be counted without Pivot in the Transformer macro directly or we'll try to adjust the query for renaming&grouping).
