Does anyone know of a way to display an indicator next to a link in Confluence? For example, if I'm in a space showing the navigation on the left hand side with the tree view of documents for the space. I want to see a little New! or Updated! indicator to the left of the link in the tree. Just wondering if this is possible.
Example Tree:
Confluence Space
Document 1
New! Document 2
Updated! Document 3
@Frank Allotta Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I just noticed that you are using Data Center. My solution works on Cloud, but I'm not sure if it works the same in DC.
In Cloud, you can add an emoji to the page title that appears in the page tree (click in the page title and select 😊Emoji in the floating toolbar). There is a New emoji that comes with Confluence, but I don't see an Updated one. You can create your own custom emojis that look as you want and use those.
As I said, I'm not sure if these features are available for DC.
Hi @Frank Allotta, welcome to the Community!
You cannot achieve this without an app. (By the way: If there is such an app, you will have to decide what exactly "New" means and to which period "Updated" refers - not so easy!)
However, if you want to highlight new or edited pages in the sidebar, you can add the Recently Updated macro there as a Space Admin. The results of the macro then appear above the actual page tree.
Hope that helps!
Kind regards,
Nicolai
