Logins - Confluence Cloud

Mike Lawson September 5, 2017

I am looking to roll out more complex passwords for our Confluence Cloud site.  I have come across the password policy section, but I am unsure as to whether or not I need to verify our domain, and what impact that will have on the authentication?

Has anyone set this up before?

Thanks.

Hi Mike! You'll need to verify your domain first, Password Policy is only manageable via domain verification. You can find the instructions for that at Domain verification.

Then, you'll be able to set your password requirements as explained at

Set password requirements.

Let us know if you have any questions :)

Cheers,

Ana

Hi Ana,

Thanks for you reply.  in that case;

1) why do we need to verify our domain?

2) does confluence handle the policy?  I have read conflicting information on it that it needs an external LDAP.

Thanks.

Regards,

Mike
