We are using Confluence Databases to document tagging requirements for internal development. We would like to highlight specific fields that have been updated since a previous version of the tagplan, but this is not possible as no markup/layout changes (like fonts or colours to highlight updated values/field) are available. Any suggestions how to deal with this?
A workaround could be using an extra field/column for this, in which we specify which fields have been altered since the previous versio, but using visual changes would be preferable.
Hi @Steven Slings
In Confluence, adding markup such as colors, different fonts, bold, and italic text directly within Confluence Databases is not supported.
There are some basic formatting's are there to use as shown in below image.
Hi Sanam, thanks for your reply, I'm aware of the different fields that are avauilable, but I'm looking for markup within a (text) field to indicate changes, either using colours or different fonts.

The workaround would be, in use with page links, to put the desired formatted text into an excerpt and then configure your DB to display the excerpt in the specific column.
Disclaimer... if it sounds like a solution in search of a problem it's because it is :) But excerpts are the method how get content into a DB.

Hi Kristian, thanks for your comment. Not really sure if I understand correctly. Do you mean I should add a pagelink column in which the value links to a page with an excerpt which is formatted?

Yes, exactly. But as I wrote, it may be just too much for what you're trying to accomplish.
