Hello,
Can you please tell me how i can merge some confiforms data tables which at the same time can be changed with inline edit? I have already set up the tables but the inline edit does not save the data
Hi @Sylvia ,
The Table Transformer macro is provided by our app - Table Filter, Charts and Spreadsheets for Confluence.
The result table that comes after merging is a virtual one, it is based on the separate tables that are placed within the macro body. So, if you have any form within the macro and are trying to edit it on the fly, it seems to be an expected behavior.
I would suggest to avoid using the ConfiForms's inline edit functionality when used with a Table transformer
Only this way you can be sure the things continue to work as they were designed by ConfiForms team

Here are a few things you could try:
Ensure Inline Edit is Enabled: First, double-check that inline editing is properly enabled for the fields you want to edit. You can configure this in your ConfiForms setup by making sure the fields are marked as editable.
Form Permissions: Verify that the user roles have the correct permissions to edit the data inline. Sometimes, permission settings can prevent changes from being saved.
Check Data Mapping: When merging tables, ensure that the data mappings between tables are correct. Inline edits might not save if there's a mismatch in how the data is being pulled and merged from the original tables.
Save Behavior: Confirm that you have the proper save actions set up within ConfiForms. The inline edit might not trigger the save if the form's save action is not configured properly for merged tables.
If you've tried these steps and are still facing issues, it might help to provide more details about your setup so we can troubleshoot further.
Hope this helps!
