If someone is assuming a user and does something bad, does the logs show it to be the real person or the assumed user?What sort of logging is available?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The history records the action as the user that was logged in, so yes, a bad admin could do bad things that look like an innocent user did it.

I believe the audit log records "admin logged in as X" though.

Hi @Alana Mcpake welcome to the community.  You cannot prevent a bad admin from doing bad things however as mentioned there is an audit log that would reflect the admin logged in as that user.
