I can't seem to make a Confluence database accessible to the public via "anonymous access"

Anonymous access is turned on for the space. The admin and I have tried a bunch of different things--none have worked. Embedding a link in the page also doesn't work. (The page is viewable but with a 401 error on it in the place where the embedded database should appear.) I can't find any help information on this either. Is this just not possible?

Hi @Laura Christopherson and welcome.

I tested this and it appears that it's not possible - not even via the Database macro.

An awkward workaround is to export as CSV and paste the content onto a page as a table...

And I think that Scroll Viewport app (it generates a static doc center from your Confluence space, even if it's not anonymous) offers som limited support for displaying a DB via a macro. But it's hard to support smth full when it's in Beta as Databases.

Thank you Kristian! I really appreciate your taking the time to do that. I'm disappointed to hear this. I hope someone from Atlassian will see this perhaps and at least comment on when this sort of thing might be possible...?
