How to setup Search bar in a Confluence knowledge space

I have setup a Confluence knowledge space.

Main purpose of this space is to provide LINKS various documents and websites which could be located else where on another confluence page, sharepoint, onedrive, external website etc.

I have search bar on this space, and I want to restrict this search bar to this space alone. I know that confluence provides that option, however, it seems to search only for the documents added in that space and not the links.

I need the ability for the search bar to show both document and links that I have added in my space (and my space only).

Is this possible?

After reading your question, I understand that you need to restrict your Confluence search to a specific space. The search should also provide results containing links related to your search.

I tried to replicate the behavior you described and found out that, indeed, Confluence is having problems when searching for Links.

Trying to search for links yields inconsistent results with the actual content present within our instances. I was able to retrieve pages that contain links when searching for http or https exclusively, nothing else in the search string.

Searching for http, for example, will bring all pages that contain an http link as result.

With this behavior in mind, I tried a few scenarios and was able to raise a bug report. You can check more about the report here:

I was not able to devise an actual workaround to this behavior. Since there is not workaround, the best course of action is to vote and watch the bug report. Voting for it will help increase the issue visibility and watching it will keep you up to date with anything posted there.

I understand that this is not a solution but I hope that this shines some light in the issue that you are currently facing.
