How to match colours between default status and Table Filter?

Samson Danziger July 28, 2020

The colours used in the Table Filter and Charts macro do not seem to match the colours used by default in statuses. This is then very confusing in tables.

Some of the colours have slightly different tones, but the key issue is that these conversions have been made:

  • Purple -> grey
  • Blue -> purple

As grey also goes to grey, either purple or grey is essentially blocked as an unambiguous colour.

Is this a know issue?

Hello Samson,

We'll try to fix it shortly.

Hi Andrey,

Thanks. Do you have a timescale on "shortly"? Are we talking days, weeks, or months?

It is most likely a week.

Hi Samson,

Colours of statuses in the Table Filter macro are the same as without macro.

Hi Andrey,

Thanks for working on this, the theme is much better, but the purple one still doesn't match. In my example about, I have "DELIVERING" as the purple colour, but in the table below it is still shown as grey.

Hi Samson,

Yes, we are aware of the issue with the purple status. The reason for the issue is that Confluence returns purple status as grey when the Table Filter macro gets its body so it is impossible to distinguish those two statuses. The same issue you can see if you export the page to PDF with those two statuses.

Hi Andrey, is there still any chance for a fix to the purple-grey swap?
Just stumbled upon it and it's a bit of a bummer :/

Hi Jakub,

Unfortunately, it can't be fixed in the app until the issue is not fixed in Confluence. As I mentioned before, the same issue you can see if you export purple status to PDF - it is grey there as well.

Please, contact Atlassian support to boost the issue resolution.
