How to have multiple users collaborate on a Word document?

I need a way to easily collaborate on a Word document with my colleagues. How do I do this intuitively? Right now if a users clicks the attachment it will download locally - i want it to edit and save to our Confluence space.

Confluence is not a document management system, it is a wiki.  The best option is to import the document as a page, or set of pages, and use Confluence as it's designed.
