Hi,
I would like to trial Confluence Data Center on Azure. I'm required to enter the license key when creating the Confluence Server Data Centre from Azure Market Place. Where can I get a trial license?
I tried requesting the trial license via the Atlassian Support Portal, but I need to put in the 'Server ID'. I'm setting up a completely new instance on Azure, so what Server ID do I use?
Thanks.
@May Lee just sign up for a trial version here https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/data-center/confluence and use the license key you get here in azure.
Hi Brant,
Can I just clarify, the license key that you mentioned, is it the one stated in this file: https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/atlassian-azure-deployment/src/master/confluence/azuredeploy.parameters.json ?
When I clicked on the link that you provided, I go to 'Try it for free', then click on Azure and then it brings me to the Bitbucket. Is that correct?
Thanks.
May.

@May Lee according to @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- you would ask for the license during the installation. Have you done an install yet?

The server ID is generated during installation, the usual way to get a license is to run the install (on the first node) and ask for a trial when you get to the licence step.

Hi Nic,
We tried installing the Data Center from the Azure Market Place and this is the first screen this is the Configure Confluence screen shown to us prompting us for a license key.
There is no where that says we can ask for a trial license from this screen nor display the server id.
Thanks.

Note the "home > marketplace" at the top - this is not the install screen for the initial node.

Hi Nic,
We referred to this Atlassian webpage: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/getting-started-with-confluence-data-center-on-azure-937176452.html
Following the instructions show in the section: Deploying Confluence Data Center to Azure via Azure marketplace.
Are these not the right steps? Or did we missed anything?
Appreciate if you can point me to the right place where I can find the right installation steps.
Thanks.

Hi @May Lee ,
SERVER ID is per instance basis (at application level) and not related to a single node. So, if you have a data center instance, all nodes have a shared server id.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
