How to find the major version in a Confluence backup file

Hi

I have got a confluence backup which I want to restore. But I don't know which version and wonder if I can find the version information in the backup file?

Best Regards

Definitely, Allan. In a Confluence site XML backup, you can find a file called exportDescriptor.properties which contain a parameter called "buildNumber". Compare this build number with the information found in this page - https://developer.atlassian.com/display/DOCS/Confluence+Build+Information

Hope that helps!
