How to create Folder structure in Confluence and provide access to users

Hi Team,

I am planning to create Folder structure in Confluence application as per the below.

Creating a XYZ Folder with access to everyone.

Under XYZ, we can have a folder per capability as below :

  1. a
  2. b
  3. c
  4. d
  5. e

Please advise.

Regards

Abid

Hello Abid,

You can try our app Smart Attachments for Confluence for your use case.

With it, you can create the multi-level structure of folders, preserve document revisions, import folders with files into Confluence with their structure recreation, preview the stored files
embed documents or folders into Confluence pages, discuss changes and updates with teammates, and many more.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Elena.

The page structure is a folder-like structure already, and it happens partly automatically.

Your example data does not seem to be in any structure, so I can't really work with it, but let's say you want to end up with:

Home Page (main page for the space)
+ Page 1 ++ Page 46 under page 1 + Page 3Top Page for some associated content + Some content + more contentScratchpad area + a scrap of info

When you create a space, the home page is created for you.  When you are looking at a page and you click "create", the new page is created underneath the current page.  So while looking at "Home page", you would create two new pages - Page 1 and Page 3.  Then to nest Page 46, you go to page 1 and create a new page there.

If you put pages in the wrong tree structure, no problem - you can move pages, selecting a new parent, or if you go to space tools and look at the tree, you'll be able to drag and drop the pages around as well.

Hi Abid,

While you can't create folders in Confluence, you can create a Space and build a similar structure using the page tree.

You could create a page with sub-pages for each capability.

You can then grant space permissions  to give the right people access.

Hi Matt,

Can you please advise the navigation how to create it. My application version is 7.3.1
