How to change a parent of the child page?

Currently a child page X is under a parent page Y.

I have created a new page Z and need to move X under it. Please advise.

Hi @Samantha Sharkov

You should be able to find a "Move" command under the ellipsis (...) menu in the upper right. Do note, however, if you don't have edit privileges to the tree that "X" is in, you won't be able to move it there. However, If you do, you will be presented with a dialog where you can select either "recently viewed" or search for the page you want your page Z to be under.

Go to page X and select "move" from the utility menu, it will ask you for a new parent page.

Hi @Samantha Sharkov

  1. Go to the page you want to move]
  2. Select the 3 dots in the upper right and select "Move
  3. Select the Space and Parent Page

Another way to do this would be in the Hierarchy:

  1. Select the 3 dots in the upper right and select "View in Hierarchy"
  2. You can drag and drop pages, group them under new parents and organize an entire space in this view.

There is more info here if needed: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/move-and-reorder-pages-146407727.html

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This means that the "bug" issue type is not a sub-task issue type, it is base-level.  You need to select a sub-task issue type as the target type.

Thank you! Don't know how I missed the command in the list.
