How to add Google Analytics to Confluence with Zen Foundation?

Brittany Walker June 11, 2014

I'm trying to add Google Analytics tracking code to Confluence.

Here are my steps:

1. Settings > Confluence Admin > 'Look & Feel' - Custom HTML > Edit

2. Added the GA javascript to 'At end of the BODY' like the Brikit/Zen Foundation documentation says. (Also tried adding to 'At end of the HEAD' like this Confluence doc says, unsucessfully.)

3. Checked the status in GA according to their docs on status messages and see 'Tracking Not Installed / the tracking code isn't set up correctly on your webpages.'

Anyone else experience this?

Turns out we needed to be on the current version of Zen Foundation in order for it to work with Confluence - after we upgraded it worked. Thanks!
