How is it possible to use Service Management without the customer portal?

We would like to use the ticket system without being asked to register in the customer portal. How does this work? It should simply be possible to send a ticket request by e-mail without having to register.

It is possible, we’re using JSM this way for incomming customer requests. Check this setting:

Hi, thanks for your reply. We have already set up the email in the channels. If someone now sends an email to this email, they will be asked to create a user account in the customer portal. But we don't want that. It must be possible to deactivate the customer portal but still receive service requests.
