How can I hide the members of a group when mentioned on a page so only the group name displays?

I am mentioning a group on a confluence page, the @groupname displays then (@member1 @member2, @member2, etc) I do not want the individual names to display only the group name.  Does anyone one know how I can suppress the individual names?

Unfortunately you cannot disable this behavior. It can be annoying especially for very large teams.
