×I've noticed that when looking at the history for a page created with the "new" editing experience, the colours previously used to denote additions and deletions simply don't show up. It's very difficult to actually see the changes in a page. Newly added text simply looks the same as existing text, and deleted text has a strikethrough which just looks like text already formatted that way.
Is this a known issue? Such version differencing has long been a problem with Confluence (for instance, edit any cell of a table and the whole thing goes into the notification email, not just the cell edited). Will we see proper improvements here soon, something like GitHub or any other diff view?
Hello Andrew,
Thank you for raising this! There is a known bug at the moment that causes the color comparisons not to appear:
Unfortunately, there's no known workaround. Click This affects my team, and you'll be updated when there is any progress on a fix.
Thanks again, and take care.
Shannon
Thanks Shannon. In common with other tracked issues I've been pointed at recently, I see this ticket has been open for over a year now. I'm a little concerned at how long bugs are sticking around for... hopefully this can be fixed soon.
