I have enabled the HTML macro in Confluence 6.10.1 using the instructions here  but I cannot view the macro on the list of macros while editing a page. What could be the cause and how can view the enabled HTML macro in edit mode?

Hello Brian,

Thank you for reaching out! Happy to help.

Can you please attach a screenshot of the specific modules that you enabled for the HTML macro? I trust that you enabled the right one, I just want to verify.

Secondly, when you click Insert  > Other Macros, and type HTML in the search, can you show me what results come up?

Lastly, I wanted to make sure you were aware the following security announcements:

You'll need to make sure that you upgrade as soon as possible to the latest version of Confluence to avoid your Confluence instance being compromised. For details on how to do that, have a look at our Confluence Installation and Upgrade Guide.

Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

Attached are two screenshots based on what you have asked. Is there anything I have done incorrectly?

Thanks for the info. I will see to it to upgrade our Confluence, No questions for now.HTML macro enabled.pngHTML macro not available.JPG

Hello Brian,

Very strange indeed, thank you for sharing.

Let's try the following:

  1. Try to insert the macro instead by typing { followed by html and see if it shows up in that menu.
  2. Failing that, try to clear the Confluence plugins cache. This should be performed during maintenance hours.
  3. Otherwise, you can to reindex Confluence. Generally this shouldn't affect it, but it's solved stranger things. This too should be performed during maintenance hours.

If these steps don't work, please try again once you've upgraded Confluence, and we can proceed from there!

Regards,

Shannon
