.I @mention team members so they get an email to alert them that a monthly doc is available for updates, along with a quick link to the page. The issue is that the body of the email notifications simply shows them, “Error: [com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxLazyException] Unexpected character '<' (code 60) excepted space, or '>' or "/>" at [row, col {unknown-source}]: [1,423]”.
Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong that would cause this error in the email notification they receive?
Hi Rochelle,
I am not on the Confluence team but I will try to help.
This error usually means that there is some text on the Confluence Page that Confluence has trouble processing. Is there anything special about the page your @mentioning your colleagues on? Do you have any add-ons being used?
I would suggest starting with a blank page and adding an @mention, to see if that works.
Then you could progressively add content to the page to find out which piece of content is causing the issue.
I hope that helps!
