Domain verification for Azure AD

Abdul Shakoor September 5, 2018

Hi ,

I am following two links below to integrate with Azure Active Directory.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/atlassian-cloud-tutorial

https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/domain-verification-873871234.html

There is a step that requires I verify  a domain using DNS.
The exact step is : "Go to your DNS host and find the settings page for adding a new record."

How can I do this with Azure AD and get the status as "verified"

Hi Abdul,

Your DNS records are going to be managed someplace other than Azure AD. Azure does provide DNS hosting services, but that's not a guarantee that you're actually using them. We can't really provide step-by-step assistance for adding a DNS record without knowing where those records are hosted, which could be a huge variety of places!

I suggest asking someone familiar with your company's networking stack to ask where your DNS is hosted (Azure, internally, Dyn, Network Solutions, GoDaddy, etc) and when you find someone who knows, also see if they know who administers the records. That person should be able to assist you with the verification following the documents you've linked to.

Cheers,
Daniel
