Do macros that create lists of other articles, such as "Content by Label," automatically update when newly labeled content meeting the macro parameters is created?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Recently Updated Dashboard Macro

I'm curious to know if macros such as Content by Label which are applied to articles in Confluence will automatically update to show newly labeled Confluence content that has also been given the same designated label(s) from the macro that is present on the older articles I previously mentioned.

Technically no, they don't really "update".  Most macros don't store any data, they just display the current data.

As long as your new labels get indexed, the next time a macro is displayed (person visits page or refreshes it), the newly labelled content will show in it.
