Hello there
I'm uploading videos directly to a confluence page, so i want to prevent users from downloading the video (a download button showed on the video).
Is that able to be done on confluence?
If you're looking to disable video downloads directly from your Confluence page, it’s important to note that Confluence itself doesn’t offer a built-in way to completely prevent downloads since video files are accessible by the user once embedded. While restricting permissions and using tools to minimize the download option visibility might help, it’s difficult to ensure complete protection as tech-savvy users can still use third-party app like Snaptube to capture videos directly. To safeguard your content, consider using an external video hosting platform with stronger DRM (Digital Rights Management) protections, which can prevent unauthorized downloads more effectively than Confluence alone.
