×Hello,
we are running on confluence 7.12.2 and are experiencing since mid december 2021 (nothing changed on the configuration since about 6 months) a strange effect.
Every about 10-16 days it happens that the MSSQL Transaction logs starts to grow very fast and to fill up the complete harddisk in about 1,5 days.
When the harddisk is full, confluence stopps working with different error message. (no surprise)
We than can shrink the transaction log manually again and the confluence will work for another 10-16 days...
We have no idea what could cause the behaviour?
We checked scheduled tasks but could not find any coinciedence. The time range until the next "growing event" is always a bit different...
Any ideas about what to check is welcome!
As a workaround we could switch the database mode to "Simple" - so no transaction log would be created any more. But doing this, we would rely completely on a daily backup of the database. Is this save? What is the recommended mode?
Thanks,
Sven
NB: Our support ran out in summer 2021. Hopefully there is a solution :)
Hi @Sven
You may want to disable SQL logging
Please find the reference here
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/enabling-detailed-sql-logging-179030.html
Let me know if this works for you!!
Thanks,
Pramodh
