Confluence page access rights

Nikolaos November 13, 2019

Dear sir or madam

Goodmorning

I have an administrative question regarding confluence.

We have some new users and we want for them to grant access for only one of our spaces.

As far as I have understood Conflunece access rights are space oriented and we have to go and manually change the access rights to every one of our existing spaces in order to disable access for our new users.

Is there a more efficient way to do this?

Best regards

Nikos Porfyriadis

@Nikolaos @Ollie Guan has guided you in correct direction, creating a separate group and giving it access to desired space save a lots of hassle and manual work. One point I would like to add to his answer is,

  • Make sure new users are not part of any other group,
    • if they are, make sure that group is not associated with any space

Hi @Nikolaos ,

Add these new users to a new group that only gives access to specific spaces, and other spaces should not allow access to anonymous users.
