Confluence Calendar Notification issues

Folks,

I have a ongoing issue with one of my sites calendars. A few people are getting email notifications on every change I make in the calendar. I have confirmed they are not subscribed to the page and they are not following the page. 

Suggestions on why?

Any resolution to this issue as it is happening here as well?

Did you check if they are perhaps a watcher of the calendar itself? That is also possible, next to watching the page.
