Configure Jira Service Desk and Confluence for multiple clients and products

Using Jira Service Desk (JSD) linked with Confluence for KB, we want to support the following scenario.

  • We have multiple customers that we will support using JSD and Confluence.
  • We have multiple products that we support.
  • Each customer uses only a subset of the products.  Therefore, we would like to provide a tailored experience for each user, depending on the customer they belong to, and the product(s) their organization uses.

What's the best way to accomplish this?  I'd like to know whether or not we need a single JSD project or more than one.  Also do we need multiple Confluences spaces, how the security would work, etc.

You can try by starting with a single project in jira and a single space in confluence.

kb pages uses tags per request type to define the content to display.

there are plugins like extensions for jsd that allows you to specifity security rules to hide or show request types

you can try to achieve what you need with this setup.

Thanks Gaston, I'll look at those options.  I'd rather stay with one project / space as setting up a single project is a fair amount of work.

I'm using JSD Cloud, so I'm not sure if all the needed extensions will be available to me, but I'll take a look.
