I exported several pages and imported them on to a different confluence server.  I exported as HTML and the import was successful.  I have to reorder the pages to get them to the correct location.  After editing anything on the page all of the comments in the comments section get deleted.  There doesn't seem to be any way to get them back beside manually entering them again.

Hi @JP kadish

Be sure you are exporting them correctly. The HTML normal export does not support comments.  The custom html export allows for comments.  Exporting the entire space as XML is the way to ensure comments are preserved.

I do not believe importing an HTML file will understand comments.  I would need to test this to be sure, but I suspect it may look like it imports, and what you are experiencing is Confluence cleaning up the stray text that are your comments after the first edit.
