Child pages are no longer shown, instead three little dots appear at the end

Jonathan Saldarriag June 3, 2024

It used to be the case that when you expand a parent page it showed or load all the child pages. Now, if there is a lot of child pages, Confluence display three little dots at the end, that you have to click in order to show another bulk of child pages. But I have several hundred pages and I have to click several times in order to see the very last one, where in the past I just literally had to simply scroll down to go to the last entry. Does anybody know how to disable that or fix this?

Hi @Jonathan Saldarriag

You're probably hitting the limit in terms of what Confluence can display in the tree. I experienced the same in the past with the tree AND with a page.

See if you can put a Children macro on the parent page and display the full list of your child pages there. It should work.

  • you could also put a search macro on the parent page to make the navigation easier
  • CTRL/CMD-F search would also improve the overall user experience
