Can the space key of a workspace be changed?

Sanjivani Iyer February 5, 2025

The space key is getting auto-created by combining the first letter of each word used in the name of the workspace. Can we change the spacekey?

Or is it possible to have a vanity URL mapped to the underlying confluence pages?

Hi @Sanjivani Iyer ,

When creating a new space, you have the option to enter your own space key.

For existing spaces, you also have the option to change the space key via "Space Settings" --> "general" --> "Space Details"

Best regards,

Kris

As to your "Or is it possible to have a vanity URL mapped to the underlying confluence pages?" question...

You can have your content under your domain with an app.

This is our doc site generated from Confluence with Scroll Viewport app (by K15t). There are other apps that put a 'skin' directly on your Confluence site and also support connecting your own domain (Refined by Refined, Spacecraft by Seibert...)
