Can I set the Expand Macro to be open by default?

I've seen a number of requests for this, but I'm throwing my hat into the ring as well....we need the ability to have the expand macro expanded by default, then users can collapse if they choose to. I see there have been some work-arounds posted where it provides a collapse all / expand all, but what I need is specifically for the content to be all visible when the page loads, and collapsed upon the user doing so. Any help here?
