Add an embedded link to Confluence

Javier Santiago August 14, 2019

Dear Community,

I would like to add an embedded link from a Klipfolio Dashboard into Confluence. Does anybody happen to know, how could I do it?

Best Regards,

Javier

Hello Javier,

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to have you!

I see you raised the same question with our Cloud team, and my colleague Ramon let you know the following:

In Confluence cloud, you should be able to display an external page using the Iframe Macro. I've tested it out on Klipfolio's demo dashboard and that seems to do the trick.

Just note that the macro will call the external URL when the Confluence page is loaded for your end-users. That means that the end-user should have access to the third-party page for it to display. Here's how you can set it up.

  • Create a page in Confluence
  • In the editor, add the macro Iframe
  • In the Iframe macro configuration, set the URL to the external page (your Klipfolio dashboard)
  • Adjust the width, height and display options to your need.
  • Save the macro configuration and publish the page.

Let us know if you have any questions about this.

Regards,

Shannon
