New JIRA Issue Created Trigger in Automation for Confluence!

đź‘‹ Community! Avinoam from Confluence Automation here again and this time I'm happy to let you know that you can create rules in Confluence based with our new Jira Issue Created Trigger!

Is is really, really good! What I would love to see in addition to this is some way for the content on confluence to stay in sync with the Jira issue if the content in the issue changes.

Additionally, I would also want to see that the new confluence page is linked to the issue so that the link appears in the issue. I didn't see that in your demo.

Wow, now I just need to figure out how to set the conditions such that my dev and QA teams no longer need to let me know when there's a ticket that might impact the documentation.

@Alex Young We've been using a paid addon for this (on the Jira side) called "Elements Publish". It allows you to use templates from Confluence and insert synced fields from jira onto the page. It only works one way however, so you can't update the Jira content from the Confluence page.

Another note: You may be able to get the page link automatically added to the Jira ticket if you add the Issue URL to the page content. I've noticed that if you mention an issue on a page it will automatically add that page as a link on the Issue in Jira. Disclaimer: I've not tested it with this particular automation tho, so idk how pulling that info works.
