@Nancy Shao Would it be possible to re-enable 'Subscribe to daily updates'? Or alternatively either a "Watch all spaces" option or an add-on for monitoring the full site?
We have a process for compliance monitoring of content in our Confluence site. Since "Daily Digest" only provides updates for watched spaces, new spaces slip under the radar. This can prevent us from using Confluence as a wiki.
Our current solution is to use the 'Recently updated', but since it's a macro output, changes will not generate email alerts and is therefore awkward to use.
@Nancy ShaoI don't understand why my own page creations and updates are not reflected in my version of the new Daily Digest -I only see what others did. I liked the older version much better because my changes were included as part of the overall Digest. That provided a helpful summary and reminder of everything I did the day before. Can this be added back to the Daily Digest? Maybe as a checkbox to "Include your own updates in your Daily Digest"?
It's been a few months of Confluence Daily Digest. My understanding was that this feature was introduced as replacement for the previous daily email in order to reduce the number of emails we would receive. I'm now wondering if I'm doing something wrong, because I'm getting 10 times more emails than before.
In the previous setup, all I had to do was ask for a daily email of updates from all the spaces that I had access to. I did not watch most of them. I got an email that included things I wasn't interested in, but I could easily skip those lines because it was all organized by spaces.
In this new system, I would only get the daily digest for spaces that I am watching. Therefore I went and watched all the spaces I really cared about. I do get a daily email with those changes, but I also get an email every time some makes a change or adds a comment on any page in that space.
Does this new system consider a way to separate "watching spaces" (for the daily email) from "watching pages" (for the small number of pages where every change actually interests me in real time)?
@Levente Szabo _Midori_ Yes! I checked and I had notifications for comments still turned on. I turned off all live notifications and left only the Daily Digest on, and now it's perfect for me.
It is getting really difficult with the new digest, many of my users have now just created a rule where anything coming from Confluence is put and ignored, due to the email spamming caused by functionality that existed in the “Changes in the last 24hrs” but not any longer:
The Deleted/Archived pages/blogs is not part of the digest. I keep getting complaints from my users that are inundated with emails for all the deleted pages. And yes,mass-deletion does happen, for example, when something went wrong with a new Scroll document or a new version of it. That can be hundreds of pages deleted at the same time and an email is sent for each and every one of them to all watchers of the space, which most of them are since they are interested in what is happening in that space! The same goes for when someone is archiving pages. Please, at least, add the option to include Deleted and Archived pages in the digest as well.
Something not causing email spamming but still important to me, I am not made aware of when someone adds a new space because, obviously, I am not watching it. Please somehow add the option for new space creation to the digest.

@Susanne Ertle thanks for that detailed feedback- the admin experiences team will be coming out with a bulk delete/archive option and we are looking to turn off delete by default and adding setting if you need to turn that back on (since you cannot see that page anyway). Having it appear in Digest is also an option to consider. We will definitely consider this for the near future.
I receive complaints from many users in our company that not all changes are reflected in the daily digest. I have also observed this behaviour myself. Compared to the old "Confluence changes in the last 24 hours" I would estimate that only two-thirds of all changes are shown. For me, all options in the daily digest settings are activated, as are some users who have complained. Furthermore, the relevant spaces and/or pages are under observation.
In my opinion, the notification function is one of the main functions of Confluence and must work. The ability to receive a daily report has significantly increased the acceptance of Confluence. The solution cannot be to change the setting so that a separate email is sent for each change. We are currently working on some complex projects where it is logically essential that everyone involved is reliably informed.
Hence the requirement to ensure that all changes are recorded and displayed with Daily Digest. Afterwards, I think you can introduce functions like “Best Post” etc. The current status of the Daily Digest is not satisfactory for us.
