Initial feedback and a Wishlist

Hi folks, we have been trialing Whiteboards over the past few weeks and I thought I'd share some initial thoughts, just in case they are useful.

# Feedback

• great start, keep up the good work
• would be great to know where feature releases get announced. We noticed the ability to hide cursors drop recently, but it would be great to know where we could subscribe to release notes.
• the control palette takes up a lot of real estate, particularly for laptop users
• it seems odd that once a Jira ticket is created from a sticky note it can only be represented as a Jira card / embed, and not as a URL on a sticky note :)

# Wishlist – Top 10

1. multiple line styles (dashed, dotted, etc)
2. tag other users + notification once tagged
3. leave comments
4. follow other people
5. bring people to me
6. adjustable connector lines (e.g. adjust the curve)
7. pencil / doodle
8. temporarily hide the contents of an object
9. changes since "I" was away
10. Grids / tables

I can confirm that a freehand pen tool is an upcoming roadmap feature we will be working on.

The other items you've listed we will pass on to our product team as they are currently exploring what our long-term roadmap will look like.

Tags are definetly needed to improve filtering and clustering, but heyho it's a good start

I would love to be able to add labels to whiteboard - inline with other Confluence pages, so that whiteboards can be pulled into reports, auto archived, etc.

Hi Lynne, thanks for the feedback and suggestion. With labels being added to a whiteboard where would you imagine they sit on the board? Up near the title or in a bottom footer similar to pages or perhaps somewhere different altogether?

Hi @Daniel Simmonds thanks for the reply. For me labels would be great near the title. I think they would get lost on some larger whiteboard if they were in a footer.

An additional idea for labels would be that sticky notes can have labels as well. Especially for Workshop Sessions, this would help to quickly cluster related sticky notes.

I would love to see a MindMap feature embeded in Confluence Whiteboards
