Just starting to investigate using databases, and I am thinking this will be really useful for what I want to do.  I do have some questions on using Views.

From my database, I create several different views based on tags and hiding fields etc.  Not a problem.  When I then copy link to a view, and add that to a page, the View appears, but so does all the other views that I have created, as well as the database name, other views and layout icons.

Firstly, is this because I am the owner/creator of both page and database, so I see everything, and a user with Read only permissions would not see this.  Or...

Secondly, is there a way to only show the contents of the view in a page.

Maybe it is me using Views incorrectly,

Your hopes for this feature and your experience dovetail with mine.

I absolutely agree with @Olie Ryan-George - I want the macro to work like a query against the database, not a copy of it.

I agree with the sentiment here.

When I embed a specific view of a database into another page, I think there should be no view selector and that should be the only view you see from that page.
