Hi,
Possible bug?
We have a main DB (which also has entry link/details in it) with various view created and for the particular case relevant here is that one of the views have a filter applied "contains" for a entry details column with the exact text the original TAG option which works great when creating the view as expected. However, the lovely cactus and "No entries found!" appears when:
- Just refreshing the page from previously looking at the DB and that specific view
- On other pages where the view link is displayed (it works well in the initial insertion of the view link)
In addition I should add that all other view works great and has both hidden columns and filter set.
The ONE difference between the "faulty" view and the other 20+ views is that the filtering used is for a entry details column in the faulty one with "Contains" condition and a written string while the other 20+ views uses a "native" column and "is" condition where I just choose the specific entry in a dropdown.
Finally, when the above occur on the DB page of a page with the view link and I just change to any other view and then back to the "faulty" view it shows all data as desired.
The additional question!
To piggy back on the above, why is the filtering limited to "contains" and "does not contain" conditions for entry link columns? Seems logical for it to have the wider options of conditions and have dropdown options with the data actually in the column depending on chosen condition.
Thanks again for great functionality!
Hey Chris - there's definitely something wonky going on here, thank you for sharing. And it looks like a couple other folks are experiencing this too.
1. For the view that's not loading (with an entry link condition): we've got a ticket to look into this from our team. We'll let you know when this is fixed.
2. That's a good suggestion about wider options for the conditions. We're adding it to our backlog :)
Thanks,
