New automation trigger: Scorecard status changed

Hey everyone, we've released a new cross-product automation trigger that can be used to create automation rules in Jira and Confluence that execute when a Compass scorecard changes status (e.g. goes from Green to Red for a component). You could then for example create an automation rule that creates a Jira issue for the owning team whenever a component has a red scorecard to address.

Navigate to Automation within your Jira project or Confluence space and search for the new trigger with "Compass" or "scorecard".

After adding the trigger, you may need to follow the steps on screen to connect the automation platform to your Compass site before you can use it.

You can access the following smart values to use with the automation rule:

  • {{scorecard.id}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the Compass scorecard.

  • {{scorecard.name}} - Prints the name of the Compass scorecard.

  • {{scorecard.type}} - Prints the type of the Compass scorecard.

  • {{scorecard.ownerId}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the user that owns the Compass scorecard.

  • {{scorecard.applicationType}} - Prints the application type of the Compass scorecard.

  • {{scorecard.status}} - Prints the new status of the Compass scorecard, e.g., FAILING

  • {{scorecard.previousStatus}} - Prints the new status of the Compass scorecard. "null" if it's the first status.

  • {{scorecard.lastUserModificationAt}} - Prints the timestamp for when the scorecard was last modified.

  • {{scorecard.lastUserModificationBy}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the user that last modified the scorecard.

  • {{component.ownerId}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the team that owns the component.

  • {{component.name}} - Prints the name of the Compass component.

  • {{component.id}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the Compass component.

  • {{component.url}} - Prints the URL of the Compass component.

  • {{component.cloudId}} - Prints the Cloud ID of the Compass component.

  • {{component.type}} - Prints the component type.

  • {{component.lastUserModificationAt}} - Prints the timestamp for when the component was last modified.

  • {{component.lastUserModificationBy}} - Prints the ID (ARI) of the user that last modified the component.

We're just getting started with bringing Compass and the Atlassian automation platform together and I'd love to hear from you about what rules you'd like to build and what actions/triggers you need to make it possible. Happy Compassing!

We do not even look at anything related to automations because of the low Total Limit.  Are there any plans on increasing that limit (enterprise subscription is out of the question for us).  We have thousands of tickets each month so 1700 limit is gone in the blink of an eye.

@Dan Cumings for us the exact same situation.
I don't think your wish will ever come true.
Atlassian is more likely to reducing functions (moving them to a higher plan) and increasing price, rather then increasing functions for the lower plans.
