Hey everyone! We just released an update to the Bitbucket app for Compass.
Now you can import your existing repositories from your linked Bitbucket workspace directly into Compass. You can find the importer under “Apps.” (You can still create components manually and copy/paste the repo link in, too.)
What we're working on next in this area:
We plan to bring the same import experience to our GitHub app (launching soon!)
Automatically open pull requests on repositories imported to add the Compass.yaml configuration-as-code file. This allows you to use the “Activity” tab and integrates component management into your development process.
Let us know what you think We’re keen to hear your feedback once you try it out! What else would you like to see?
Here are some screenshots of what it looks like in your app today:
After you authenticate, click "start import" to begin the bulk import process.
You can select the Component Type before you import - note that you can't re-import components already managed by Compass.yaml files.
You have a final preview where you can edit what you import before clicking "start" - and then your components will be automatically populated, with repos linked ✨.
