Does Clover work with IntelliJ IDEA 2016.2 ?
Also, and maybe as important, does Clover works for groovy with IntelliJ IDEA ?
thanks.
Michele
Hi Michele,
The latest Clover release, which is 4.1.1, has been tested against the latest IDEA version which was available at that time, which is IDEA 15. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CLOVER/Supported+Platforms.
Having said this, I ran Clover 4.1.1 with IDEA 2016.2 and did not notice significant problems. Do you have any?
We will officially support IDEA 2016.2 soon - the https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOV-1955 is already implemented and is scheduled for Clover 4.1.2.
Cheers
Marek
Hi Michele,
Regarding Groovy support in IDEA. Unfortunately, this is not supported. We have a feature request for this:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOV-939
however, it's implementation is not planned in the foreseeable future. In the issue you can find an attachment with a prototype from my spike, you can play with it if you wish.
I would like to suggest a following workaround:
You can configure Clover in Maven pom.xml - it will support both Java and Groovy - and run Clover's goals from the 'Maven Projects' tab in IDEA and generate HTML report.
This could be done with Ant and Grails integration too.
Cheers
Marek
