None of the .dart files in my repositories are syntax highlighted even though they are when I copy and paste them here https://pygments.org/demo/. None of the files exceed 100 KB.
Could it be possible to add support for .dart files?
Hi @Jacob Drew and welcome to the community!
Based on what you wrote, I think that you came across the following KB article to troubleshoot this?
This is an old KB article and we are now using different libraries, I will look into updating the article. The source view and the diffs are not highlighted by pygments at the moment.
I reached out to the development team and we will look into updating the libraries we use to a newer version that supports syntax highlighting for .dart, but I don't have an ETA to share at the moment.
Kind regards,
Theodora

Bitbucket's syntax highlighting has to be coded to recognise and interpret each language that files might be written in.
I've never heard of "dart", but I am old, and not really a coder (I moved from dev to environment management when Jira 2 came out), and I can equally complain that Bitbucket doesn't do highlighting for Brain****, Pro-IV, Piaget and BASIC, all of which are languages no-one in their right mind would use, and the one I used to be rather good at isn't the one you expect it to be. Heck, we're still waiting for Pascal, and no-one writes in that any more, despite it being significantly better than C, BASIC, COBOL and Java.
I am not saying it is wrong to get the highlighting for dart. I'm just saying that it is in a very very long queue.

Ok. Dart is the language for Google Flutter which is steadily on the rise and already being used by 2million+ developers. So I just hope dart is somewhere near the top of that queue.
