What is the difference between an individual and a team plan?

denysperes November 1, 2016

It is not completely clear to us the difference between an individual and a team plan.

Individual plan means that every user pays for itself in order to be able to join a team?

Hi Denys,

Thanks for your question. They are not much different, actually: both types of plan are for groups of people who want to collaborate on repositories.

A team plan covers all users with access to the team's private repositories.

Individual plans exist for those users who want to collaborate with more than 5 users on their own personal repositories, without having to create a team.

Generally, if you have a team of developers collaborating on a project, a team plan is more suitable.

I hope that helps!

Alastair
