Unable to remove user from repository

Hello,

I am in the User and group access section of my repository where I am trying to remove a user's access completely.

I click the remove button, I get a pop-up that says 'You are about to remove access for User Name from my_app repository.', and I click remove.

Then I get the error 'Error Some principals were either not found or are not valid.'

I have tried in both Firefox and chrome, same result.

Hi, @mattho

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

I checked our internal logs and was able to see the repository you were trying to update. Analyzing the user under this repository, I confirmed that this Bitbucket account was not linked to an Atlassian account, so that’s the reason you were unable to remove this user.

In this case, I relinked this Atlassian account and now you should be able to remove this user from your repository. Could you please refresh your browser and test this again?

Please let me know how it goes and feel free to share any additional questions regarding this case.

Kind regards,
Caroline

Hello I have the same problem as well.

I tried to logout and login again with my attlasian account but the result is the same.

When I try to remove a user from a repository I get the "Some principals were either not found or are not valid" error.

Is there anything I can do about it?

Thank you

Turns out I figured it out myself.

I had to go to my workspace settings, on Users on plan option and remove users from there.

Still its strange not to be able to remove users from the repository settings itself.
