Transfer build artefacts via scp to deployment server from pipelines

I build a docker image in my pipelines and want to transfer this to my deployment server via scp.

The image is 140MB large, transfer via scp from my computer to the server takes ~10 seconds, however, the bitbucket pipelines takes 10 minutes for 2.6MB .... its sooo slow, why? and how to get around this "bug"(?) ?

Hi @Martin Fischer

Thank you for contacting Atlassian Community, my name is Norbert and I'm a Bitbucket Cloud Support Engineer, it's nice to meet with you! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I would like to ask a couple of questions from you so that I have a better understanding of this issue:

  • Can you let me know if you're copying multiple small files or just one large file?
  • Where is the server located where you copy the image?
  • Does your server have a good bandwidth to Amazon?
  • Have you tried to copy using SFTP instead of SCP?

Please let us know.

Best Regards,
Atlassian Bitbucket Cloud Support
