SAML SSO for Jira and Bitbucket Server

Hello,

We have SAML SSO configured for our Jira application. Users logged into Jira are showing in Bitbucket as having been authenticated. Do I need to set up SAML SSO for Bitbucket or can I piggy back off Jira?

Hey Mike,

From what I gather, there are two potential scenarios in your case.

Firstly, if you're managing your Bitbucket instance through Jira, users are already authenticated, thus you don't need to configure SAML SSO for Bitbucket.

Alternatively, in the event that you require users within Bitbucket to authenticate independently, you'll need to set up SAML SSO for Bitbucket separately.
